Riding Boots, Yes Please!

While walking around Fisherman's Wharf today, I realized a whole lot more than most tourists in the area. Because of my life-long passion and educational background, I tend to recognize what people are wearing before many other things; I pay close attention to my fashion surroundings. Not only were the tourists dressed surprisingly well, but most of the ladies at the piers were sporting riding boots. Yes, it is fall and boots are so perfect this season, but people were looking especially
great in their equestrian inspired accessories.
The great thing about riding boots is that they are such a classic item. They are very tall (usually knee-high), flat, leather boots. In other words: they are HOT! You cannot go wrong with a pair of simple knee-high leather boots. There is no need to be afraid of the absence of a heel with these boots if you are used to wearing heels. The best thing about this very budget-friendly trend is that you can find a pair to fit your budget. Nearly any store/brand that sells boots has created their version of the traditional riding boot (check out any of the links to the right to find a pair that fits your style).
While many fashion forecasters find their inspiration in very unique places, it is no wonder that someone, somewhere saw these riding boots and thought they would be perfect for the fashion-friendly. They pair great with tights or leggings, skirts, and my personal favorite, skinny jeans. So this fall (and winter), join in on the wealthy sport-inspired trend. But hold onto these boots because they will be transitional with your wardrobe for years to come!

What's your favorite style of boot? There are so many to choose from, how do you decide?!
