Project Runway: Female Finalists

With just one or two more episodes left -depending on how Lifetime decides to air the finale(s)- Project Runway is proving to be one of its best seasons yet (even though Michael Kors has been noticeably absent for the majority of the season). Although many of this seasons designers have been uninspiring, the final three LADIES have more than made their mark in Project Runway history.
Althea's creations are far beyond her years and she has an amazing talent for constructing unique and very wearable pieces. She always takes chances and lives in the moment, which is very inspiring. My favorite thing about Althea... she is young and has immense potential to grow and brand herself within the apparel industry.
Carol-Hannah is unique in a very different and sophisticated way. Her style is simple, chic, wearable, and fresh. She may have done dress after dress, but she put out some of the most beautiful creations this seasons. My favorite thing about Carol-Hannah is that she impressed Christina Aguilera during the Bob Mackie challenge and walked away with the winning design.
Irina. What is there to say about Irina other than she is a very intelligent designer. Her work is well thought out and constructed magnificently. She may have been portrayed as "Meana Irina" on Project Runway, but her designers more than make up for her reality TV persona. My favorite thing about Irina is the passion behind her work. She knows how to create a garment that not only looks amazing on, but stands out in a sea of fashion created for the masses.
All three ladies appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly this morning after grabbing the final three spots for the finale in Bryant Park. I am beyond excited and anxious to see what all three of them have created for their runway shows! Tune in next Thursday on Lifetime to catch the finalists at work; I know I will definitely be watching!

Which finalist do you want to win? What season stands out to you and most importantly, why?

  1. I usually catch snips of this show on the re-runs the week after. I enjoy the human behavior aspect as much as the fashion on this program. This season started out so bland I was loosing interest, but I was glad not to see any more of those gigantic collared evening gowns that make women’s heads look like they are popping out of the middle of a flower. As this season progressed I have been delighted and impressed with the talent these designers possess. I believe all of these finalists are all truly talented in designing wearable clothes, whether it be for gracing the red-carpet, donning the streets of New York or hanging out in downtown Palo Alto. My vote goes to Carol-Hannah because of the unforgettable gown she created for the Mackie Challenge. Either way this season’s show may have started cool but is ending with hot and challenging choices for these judges to make
